Position Overview:

We are currently in search of a dedicated Technical Service Representative to to join our Sales team in the North-East region of the Netherlands. This role primarily focuses on providing essential technical support and training to our clientele, aiding in both the acquisition of new business and the retention of existing customers within the Automotive and Specialty Coatings Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive training sessions to customers, encompassing the proper usage and application techniques of company products, equipment, and associated documentation, both on-site and at our training facilities.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, effectively transferring knowledge on AkzoNobel processes and offering technical troubleshooting assistance to customers.
  • Perform technical scans and audits at specified customer locations to ensure optimal product utilization and address any technical issues proactively.
  • Collaborate closely with allocated Sales Representatives, actively participating in crucial phases of the sales process with prospects.
  • Take a proactive approach to prevent and resolve technical challenges encountered by existing customers.
  • Assist in product testing and implementation, working in tandem with relevant departments to introduce new products and technologies to the market.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer databases using CRM systems, ensuring all information regarding visits, products, and equipment is properly recorded.
  • Coordinate with the technical department to address complex technical issues and handle customer claims, providing education on viable solutions.
  • Support product development initiatives by offering guidance on prototype selection and assisting with test market execution.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Safeguard and maintain technical company equipment in compliance with safety standards and guidelines.
  • Generate periodic progress reports, offering insights into market trends and suggesting improvements to our market approach.
  • Collaborate with sales departments to implement sales strategies effectively, providing technical expertise during key stages of the sales process.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with customers, contributing to the enhancement of the company's image and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Provide recommendations to upper management regarding training programs, assist in recruiting participants for technical courses, and ensure customer participation commitments.
  • Adhere to corporate and site policies/procedures pertaining to personal conduct and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards at all times.
